Mammography Patient Relief Fund

Texas Health’s breast health programming, including the Wellness for Life Mobile Health program and Texas Health Dallas’ SEARCH program, removes barriers to breast health care by providing multiple access points across North Texas, including meeting patients where they live, in some of the most underserved communities of the Metroplex, and providing culturally and linguistically appropriate care. The programs work to increase awareness of cancer prevention, promote the benefits of cancer screening, and offer the community easy accessibility to many types of early detection services including mammogram screenings and well woman exams, as well as advanced diagnostics, screening tools, genetic testing, and the latest surgical techniques. Texas Health’s breast health programs improve the health of low-income, uninsured women by providing no-cost, early detection breast health services directly within the communities where women live, work, play and pray.

“We are so blessed to partner with the National Breast Cancer Foundation to provide underserved patients access to breast education and services. At Texas Health, our mission is to improve the lives of people in the communities we serve. This aligns with the NBCF mission which is to provide help and inspire hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education, and support services. This powerful alliance is what will make a bigger impact for those who need it the most.” — Julia Taylor, Manager, Peggy A. Bell Women’s Diagnostic and Breast Center, Texas Health Dallas

“Every 14 seconds, somewhere in the world, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. We understand women are busy; sometimes too busy to make time for regular checkups and mammograms. But we also know that early detection provides the best chance to survive breast cancer. Our mobile unit allow us to take these lifesaving breast screenings directly to them. If we can find cancer early with a mammogram, it is likely more treatable. We are committed to bringing life-saving services to our underserved communities with the goal of eliminating and breaking down barriers for those facing health screening inequities. Every woman should have access to life saving mammography screening to detect breast cancer.” — Lisa Rose, Supervisor, Wellness for Life Mobile Health Program
